New Children’s Books

Some new selections and some staff favorites are currently displayed downstairs in the children’s department:

Katje the Windmill Cat, by Gretchen Woelfle – a fictional spin on the historically true St. Elizabeth’s Day flood in 14th century Holland

Stick and Stone, by Beth Ferry and Tom Lichtenheld – a humorous  lesson on kindness and friendship

T is for Titanic: a Titanic Alphabet, by Michael and Debbie Shoulders

The Right Word: Roget and His Thesaurus, by Jen Bryant and Melissa Sweet – a mixed media treat that delivers the story of how Peter Roget’s fascinating life and list building mania led him to produce his well used and known thesaurus.
