Cozy Up to some New Reads . . .

. . .  and a New Cozy Mystery Series!

Photo of a new set of adult fiction books

Among the numerous new titles that have been added in January and February, Schmaling has a new series of mystery books called Annie’s Attic Mystery Series (various authors) which are being labeled as Cozy  Mysteries.  Cozy Mysteries have been described as a clean and gentle, but also entertaining, read that still engages the mind; one that relies more on plot and character development rather than  gratuitous violence, action, and/or sexuality — think Murder She Wrote, M.C. Beaton, Joanna Fluke, etc.

An informative site about this growing genre which includes book lists and summaries along with author information and much more can be found here at http://www.cozy-mystery.com/  A complete list of Annie’s Attic Mysteries is there along with information about a few other series published by the same company.
