Schmaling Memorial Library will be invloved in Dutch Days this year by Miss Gwenn hosting a short story time accompanied by the opportunity to make a simple craft. You can pop in to the library for this event Saturday morning at 11:30am.

Donations have been pouring into the library for the upcoming BOOK SALE sponsored by the Education Committee of the Windmill (Windmill Cultural Center & de Immigrant Windmill) and S.O.S. (Supporters of Schmaling). Much thanks to all those have donated and also to the many volunteers who have been tirelessly transporting and categorizing for the big sale being held April 17th and 18th. Here are the details:
WHERE: (former) TRINITY REFORMED CHURCH, 518 13TH AVE. (corner of 5th St. and 13th Ave.)
WHEN: FRIDAY from 4 – 7 p.m. and SATURDAY from 8 a.m. – NOON (regular sale prices) and then re-opening for the “BAG SALE” from 1 – 2 p.m.
WHAT: There will be books of almost every genre, including children’s books, poetry, cookbooks, large-print editions, history, and plenty more fiction and non-fiction selections. There are also many puzzles, games, DVDs, and video-cassette tapes.
WHAT ELSE: Friday evening of the sale will also include a BOOK SIGNING by local authors Misty Evans, Amy Manemann, Dionne Witt, and Aria Michaels. There will also be a BAKE SALE!
PRICE: Admission is FREE! After the regular sale, a “BAG SALE” will be held to clear out as many items as possible.
All proceeds will go toward staff development for the “Education Committee of the Windmill Area and for enhancements in the Children’s Department here at the library. You can also read about the sale here at the city of Fulton’s website.
